Maryscott Greenwood

Maryscott “Scotty” Greenwood is the chief executive officer of the CABC. A former American diplomat to Canada and a frequent media commentator and public speaker, Scotty serves as a business and public policy advocate, as well as a communications expert and political strategist to Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations. Scotty is also the managing director and founding partner of Crestview Strategy US, and she serves on public corporate and private philanthropic boards of directors.

In 2001, Scotty served as chief of staff to the US Ambassador to Canada, having been appointed to the diplomatic posting by President Clinton. From 1993 to 1997, Scotty was director of intergovernmental affairs for the City of Atlanta, handling state and federal relations and projects related to the 1996 Olympic Games.

Scotty holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Vermont. She participated in the John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University. Scotty also participated in the Stanford University Rock Center for Corporate Governance Directors College.
